What is the British Academy of Laser Gynaecology?

www.BALG.co.uk is the official website of the British Academy of Laser Gynaecology and we thank you for taking the time to visit our site.

The British Academy of Laser Gynaecology (BALG) is a not-for-profit organization, dedicated to the Promotion of Research and Education of Public and Professionals in the field of minimally-invasive Laser Gynaecology.

Founded in 2014, following the world wide launch of Fotona laser gynaecology treatments; the academy is the only one of its type in the UK at the moment and will be the central base of all research and development for the laser gynaecology procedures.

BALG members are devoted to clinical education, clinical research and developments of the standards and guidelines for the safe and effective use of Fotona lasers in Gynaecological treatments. Through the research and development functions of the British Academy of Laser Gynaecology, we will provide valuable worldwide expertise in the field of laser gynaecology. This expertise will benefit the patients enormously, by improving health and wellbeing as well as offering state of the art walk-in walk out procedures for common gynaecological conditions.

Treatments and research will be available for:

Incontilase - Laser treatment of stress urinary incontinence

Intimilase - Laser treatment for vaginal laxity (vaginal tightening)

Prolaplase - Laser treatment for prolapse

Renovolase - Laser treatment for vaginal atrophy.

All these treatments will be virtually pain free and performed by fully qualified and trained gynaecologist, Specialist GP or specialist Aestheticians, in an out-patient setting, with little or no downtime for the patient and very little side effects.

Laser gynaecology will be the number one go-to treatment for these conditions in years to come.

If you are a patient interested in these treatments please go to our Patients section.

The advances in technology, techniques and treatments over the last few years will ensure that gynaecological treatments are being revolutionised, bringing them to the forefront of laser treatments and gynaecology practices.
